I was messaging with a friend and we ended up talking about the afghan that was draped over the couch on the TV show Roseanne. Of course we all know that WAY before that show was even thought of, afghans like these were draped over couches everywhere. Your grandma's living room. Your Aunt Bethany's den. Maybe even somewhere in your own house!

Granny square afghans made from all the scraps and bordered in black were the crowning jewel 💎on top of many a wagon wheel velvet couches.😁 After reminiscing, I knew that these were going to have to be my next project.

Now these take waaaaaayyyyy longer that the items that I used to make and list in my store. Those were basically made to order and could be in the mail within a day or two of being purchased. This is not the case with these much larger afghan throws.

These throws measure approx 47" x 58" (about 4 feet by 5 feet). If you notice in the photo, they are THE PERFECT size to drape over a 3 cushion couch or smaller. But don't think that they are just for decoration! The more you use them and wash them, the softer (and bigger) they get!

I love the afghans I have all over my house. I especially love that they are so easy to take care of when you want/need to clean them. They are machine washable in cold or warm, and they can go in the dryer on  a normal cycle.

As of right now, I have one completed (the one pictured) and I am less than a week away from finishing another that will be very similar because it has the same colors.

At this time, I am not going to take any "special orders" for sizes or colors. That may come a little later, when I can gauge exactly how long it will take to complete one with my normal schedule.

The price for  this Granny Square Afghan Throw is $150.00 payable through Paypal only. (I will send an email with an invoice to the email address that you provide). This price does include the cost of US shipping only.
Based on the response I received when I mentioned that I might be making one of these to sell, I am anticipating that the first one is going to sell rather quickly. Like I mentioned before, there is  another one that is only a few days from completion.

I am not going to place a BUY button here, only because I do not want to inadvertently sell what I do not have the capacity to fill.
